Marketing managers and employees disagree over which among various office setups is best for sparking creativity, according to recent research from The Creative Group.
The report was based on data from a survey of 400 US advertising/marketing executives, as well as data from a survey of 1,000 US workers age 18 years and older who are employed in office environments.
Some 38% of executives say an open-concept office (unenclosed workspace for multiple people) is most conducive for encouraging creativity.
However, only 26% of non-executive workers say an open-space office is most conducive to creativity.
Some 36% of non-executives say a private office (enclosed workspace for one person) is most conducive for encouraging creativity, whereas only 18% of executives say the same.
